Railbase Professional provides you with the tools to keep track of  your modeling standards. For each car, you can decide whether you want to match an exact prototype (there are two prototype tabs for storing prototype information) or build a believable representation.  Pressing the Standard Items button accesses a list of standard items (shown below).

This is a list of standard items for car B&LE #102. Each standard is met for this car. N/A stands for "not applicable". Generic (that apply to all cars) standard items are set up elsewhere. These items can be turned off for any car by making them not applicable. You can store modeling notes both here and with each generic standard. This is a good way to keep track of catalog numbers of parts.
